Ivan, I see the freezing line. What is the other light blue line just above it?

Tomm will be the first day into the shorter range model runs. can't wait to see what happens. gfs is on a bringing the storm back from the grave trend atm.. want to see the nam's view.. the last two snows we had i followed and the nam nailed both of them 2 days out. Even down to the simulated radar view.. was eerily similar.

Well like the saying goes, even a blind squirrel stumbles across a nut every once in a while. It has been horrible for the "supposed" snows it was showing for our area the past few storms. It was showing 6-8 inches of snow for Baton Rouge and points further north and west. Never got a snowflake or much less accumulating ice.

BMX:

BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN IN THE FORECAST FOR THE REST
OF THE PERIOD...WITH WELL BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES EXPECTED
THURSDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND IN THE WAKE OF THE SECOND SYSTEM
EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE AREA WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. CONFIDENCE
FOR ACCUMULATION IS BEGINNING TO GROW WITH THIS SYSTEM...BUT STILL A
LOT OF TIME TO GO FOR MODELS TO FLIP AND EVEN FLOP...SO WILL NOT GET
INTO ANY MESOSCALE OUTLOOKS AT THIS TIME. THE MAIN DIFFERENCE IN THE
MODELS AT THIS TIME WILL BE THE PLACEMENT OF THE LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM...WHICH WILL BE VITAL TO THE TIMING OF THE COLD AIR NEED FOR
THE WINTER WEATHER. WILL BE STICKING WITH THE EURO AS IT HAS
OUTPERFORMED THE GFS THIS WINTER...BUT TOOK INTO ACCOUNT THE GFS IN
REGARDS TO A SLOWER SOLUTION AND SLIGHTLY WEAKER. SYNOPTICALLY THE
SYSTEM WILL GENERATE A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OFF THE TEXAS COAST
WEDNESDAY MORNING AND THEN SLIDE THROUGH THE GULF TOWARD THE REGION.
THE GFS KEEPS THE LOW WELL SOUTH OF THE COAST...WHILE THE EURO
BRINGS THE LOW IN JUST EAST OF APALACHICOLA...NEAR MIDNIGHT
WEDNESDAY NIGHT/THURSDAY MORNING...WITH RAIN SWITCHING TO SNOW AS
EARLY AS 3 PM WEDNESDAY IN THE NORTHWEST AND THE I-20 CORRIDOR AFTER
6PM. THE EURO REALLY DROPS THE TEMPERATURES WITH THE WRAP AROUND
COLD AIR ADVECTION WHILE THE GFS KEEPS THE COLDEST AIR ACROSS THE
FAR NORTH. THE EURO CONTINUES TO SUGGEST A SIGNIFICANT WINTER EVENT
FOR AT LEAST THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE AREA...WHILE THE GFS IS LESS
ROBUST ON THE EVENT. DEFINITELY WILL BEAR WATCHING OVER THE NEXT FEW
DAYS.

Not really impressed with either solutions. They seem to be getting warmer with the arctic air.
