It does, on a phone screen you need to turn horizontal to see it. Or tell your mobile device to use desktop view on the page.

This also assumes that people have put their location.

It does. On mobile I don't see it though unless I rotate my phone into landscape view and it's on the right.

Good grief I just looked at the Euro :double:

That's pretty 2021 like

We barely even get above freezing for 12 days

I've been questioning the warmup from the beginning with how wet this storm has looked

I'm in Tulsa btw for anyone not aware

I’m mostly being facetious. I never thought we’d get 7” of sleet and then 6” of snow. It’s not a bust even right now. Let’s see where the front is tomorrow morning before rending our garments. Right now I’m looking at 1/2” of ice and 3-5” of sleet/snow according to FWD. I’ll take it. If I could control the weather I’d monetize it. Maybe a lightning strike or two for some public figures.

Me mocking the storm’s name says more about what I think of named winter storms than what I expect to happen.

My local TV met collapsed my snowfall totals from 6-12 to 3-6 inches, but I think they're overdoing the warm nose per usual

As moderators we ask for folks to include their respective geographic location but we cannot force people to do it. But yeah I wish we could.

At this point, most posters from Waco northward are talking about”game on” while south of that it is “game off.” But we’re still like 36 hours away from the onset of wintry weather.

Well hang in there. Sorry for your downturn.

They're also behind on the models that gave up the warming trend

This is why I don't really watch TV haha

I mean I do think around 40 there is some risk of sleet cutting into totals but I mean there's gonna be a lot of snow with this storm in Oklahoma. I actually think at least in Tulsa there's basically a guaranteed amount with these models

Latest 12z WRFs has the freezing line crossing I-20 counties around/by 6z, which is roughly midnight tomorrow. The transition to Frzing rain, then to sleet seems to be quick on it. A little sooner for the northern counties, a little later for the southern counties.

Just checked the temps for Tulsa in the 00Z EC. Has you below freezing 9am Friday to February 2nd. That's only 10 days! Quit your whining! I thought you loved the cold?

Oh and my location is supposed to be posted I dunno why it doesn't show up on the phone. I don't see anybody's location just from scrolling

STORM2K OFFICIAL BULLETIN

Meltdown Warning
Issued by: Storm2k Center for Emotional Stability and Model Behavior
Status: UPGRADED TO WARNING

The Storm2k Center has issued a Meltdown Warning, we skipped WATCH, for the Texas Winter forum effective immediately. This upgrade is due to rapidly deteriorating model composure and increasing signs of community instability.

SITUATION OVERVIEW
Recent observations indicate that the long‑range guidance suite has begun to wobble, stutter, and generally behave like it forgot what season it is. Forecast confidence has dropped faster than a 384‑hour snow map posted without context.

Meanwhile, the high‑resolution models, which could theoretically save us, remain outside their wheelhouse, staring blankly at the situation like they just woke up from a nap.

CONFIRMED INDICATORS OF MELTDOWN
- Long‑range guidance is now issuing forecasts with the accuracy of a Magic 8‑Ball.
- Short‑range models are still stretching, yawning, and insisting they’ll “be ready in a few runs.”
- Posters are beginning to refresh pages at unsafe speeds.
- Several users have already declared the storm “dead,” “back,” “dead again,” and “historic” within the same hour.
- The phrase “I’m not panicking, YOU’RE panicking” has been detected in multiple threads.

EXPECTED IMPACTS
- Elevated levels of doomposting and hopium may occur simultaneously.
- Thread temperatures may rise sharply despite the actual temperatures falling.
- Increased risk of users posting outdated model frames labeled “JUST LOOK AT THIS.”
- Wxman57 may be spotted shaking his head from a safe distance.

RECOMMENDED ACTIONS
- Secure all loose emotions and tie down any expectations.
- Avoid staring directly at long‑range snowfall maps.
- Keep hydration nearby for rapid‑fire F5 key usage.
- Prepare for sudden shifts in tone, ranging from “It’s over” to “We’re saved” within minutes.

GFS has another frozen precipitation event on the 30th, and another the day after, I think if some folks miss out on this storm, their will be potential for other opportunities to cash in, quite the pattern we are in

Surprised the WSW in Tulsa is so conservative. Only calling for 6-12"...

12z ICON has it transition to snow for much of NC, NW, W Texas and Oklahoma Saturday evening. Everyone is in the single digits or low to mid teens. The trend the past 24 hours has been to amp up that trowel feature, associated with the max vorticity of the ULL coming out which is starting to find moisture in very cold air.

Side note I still question the quality of these algorithms depictions of sleet/frz rain, the different sites are not always in sync.
