NWS Jackson says it's 31F with light snow. I look out the window.....it's still dark. So I put on some clothes and go running outside.....only to find no snow/no precip.......we're 2 counties south of Jackson. Our forecast was 100% chance of snow late last night.....it just didn't happen. Near miss I suppose.

edit; Suns coming up now and a light dusting of snow is visible on rooftops......didn't stick on the ground.

Trying to mix here. Couple of snowflakes spotted. Major area of snow moving in in the next couple of hours. Some light accumulations already reported, roads are wet but bridges are becoming icy around Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.

2,400 foot mountain about an hour northwest of here, always a snow sweet spot:

Edit: 6:55am, a lot of sleet, a little rain/snow and down to 34. Definitely transitioning to snow.

7:05am: Lots of snowflakes mixed in.

7:55am: Well after a brief period of sleet/snow it has all stopped now. *shrugs*

Probably 60*F right now; 30 degrees too warm for snow...

Wow - it really DID snow...! I haven't been outside to measure, but Lawrenceburg
reported 7", and just to my west in Lewis County has reports of 10". It's 31°F, so
it will start melting soon. Very pretty views out the windows, this morning!

Some snow flurries are trying to get into extreme
northwest Florida...

Arctic Blast now hitting me...all the way down to
55*F...-25 change from yesterday afternoon

Areas just north of Tampa have dropped to 49*F...
like New Port Richey...that is a 30 degree temperature drop
for them since about 15 hours ago...
