Winter 2020-2021 :cold:

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

Never say Never with weather! Because ANYTHING is possible!

I love reading this forum the last couple of days, it's almost like being on the edge of my seat for the 384th frame of the GFS. LOL

I expect tonight to be pretty busy on the forum, but tomorrow night could be nuts when everything is really getting into range for the storm.

Hmm, would I perfer sleet or very cold rain? That's a hard one. Sleet doesn't get you wet, so that's a plus. I'd take a high of 100F any day over either one. Keep in mind that the Euro was by far the worst model for last year's big cold front.

Sounds good to me, but I don't buy it.

Im forecasting a half inch of Snow for Dallas, hope I'm not over estimating

I'll take that as "sleet" for your answer  These shallow arctic fronts so often give the models fits even 3-4 days out...

Why don’t you share how you come to that conclusion?

Right now I would say .15" to .25" of freezing rain, then 1.0" - 1.5" of sleet before the transition to snow adding another 1-3" on top of that. This is for DFW and surrounding counties. :cold: :froze:

That sounds very reasonable as a region average. In this setup someone in N TX could jackpot into 6 plus inches of snow easily under the heavy band Thursday morning.

I like it as well, I’m thinking an I 20 corridor jackpot.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.
