Definitely a run that would make the I-95 blush all things considered from SA to Houston.

Edit...although a pattern unloading like that would undoubtedly mean their back in business as well.
you mean I-45

Nah, talking about the lack of winter they've had up in the NE along that corridor. A run like that is extremely rare for us despite it being in fantasy land range.

Need to cash in on this pattern. Likely the apex of this winter.

Just need a few storms to traverse the North Texas area while we have the cold!

49 and cloudy at my place just going ahead and setting my expectations for no snow. OKC will likely get slammed they still have some clear sky’s for the time being.

We have a local met here in Wichita Falls that is arguing against the NWS that we should be included in the Winter Weather Watch instead of just an Advisory.

I think it’s one of two outcomes. We get hammered or cold rain/snow mix with low accumulations.

Does this latest op run of the GFS have ensemble support? I’m talking about the back to back gulf storms the first week of February.

Idk why he would same temperature there as it is in Weatherford. Cloud cover already on thick unless the front blows in early I can’t see any significant accumulation there.

That's one heck of a run and probably closer to the extreme. Ensembles this far out however are still impressive and so the overall setup is there for arctic delivery. Just a question of how much.

The potential system with or just after the cold air arrival is there on most guidance next week.

The lengthy gulf snows is 300+ hrs GFS caveats apply for now.

Just hit 50 degrees and cloudy. Our storm system is setting up in far east NM so we have time to cool down before any precip arrives I think

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

41°F outside and trying to fall

I don't know what it up with Seminole's Mesonet, it's 35°F and rapidly fluctuating.

If I had to put money on a snowfall model right now it would be the NAM.

It seems that someone is missing from the thread today. Perhaps doing some last minute wall repairs?

I think he knows that he's safe from being attacked by the cold/snow from this system, but not the next one! :D
