Finally made it to 32 in Dallas proper. Still 5 degrees behind the nam, but if it’s temperature trends are to be believed, the area will only warm another degree by this afternoon

With the tight wind gradient that the models are showing between the gulf low and trough during the storm. I think there could be blizzard like conditions for some...

If you ever waited for an opportunity to try blizzard watches or warnings outside of the panhandle in Texas, the GFS run would be the map to draw up. Gradient between low and high pressures.

It's amazing how alive these boards are right now. This pattern has made up for all of the busts so far this winter! :cold:

We said yesterday that DFW would stay around freezing today, and with any freezing precip over night I doubt we get above freezing Thursday :cold: :cold: and may not get above freezing until the big thaw of March 2021

Good Grief!

6-8 inches of snow on 10:1 Ratio usually means up to 12 inches on the Kuchera Ratio!

Single digits along the I-35 corridor Monday night/Tues morning. Overall the Euro looks about the same as it did 0z with minor shifts.

It's colder Tuesday morning getting DFW close to 0. Areas to the west well below 0.

The model consistency and convergence is remarkable. We can hash out the details but overall it makes for a great confident forecast for the NWS.

I have tried to post video of the Abilene snow from their Facebook page, but it's definitely snow, and not just snow grains. I give up trying to post it. I uploaded it to Img, but it just shows image blank when I share it here. Only a dusting so far, but it's definitely legit snow.
