Speaking of Intellicast, I used to religiously follow them for Dr. Dewpoint's winter forecasts back in the day. At some point, they stopped them, but I loved them.

Wasn’t Intellicast bought out by weather underground years ago?

I still search for Intellicast even if I know that’s not the website anymore.

The model that I’ve seen handling the temps best so far today is the 12z wrf-arw. Even though it ran hours ago, it had the freezing line at 4pm pretty much exactly pegged. It also has the freezing line through good part of the metro by 10pm or so, depicts a fairly quick transition to sleet, and some solid accumulations across the metro.

I'm in Wylie right down the road from you! We are still right on track where they've said we'd be for the last few days. Sleet, freezing rain, sleet, finished up with a little snow. It isn't supposed to get below freezing until 2am ish.

Unless it rapidly fills in, we might have a brief lull in precipitation moving into DFW from the SW over the next few hours....

I don’t believe the snow for next weekend. Something is telling me that this may be our best shot in south texas…

jaguars_22 absolutely not, gotta look at the pattern from a larger scale, the next few weeks we may have many opportunities at wintry weather, blocking stays strong in canada which keeps the cold air trapped down here, STJ looks very active
