9-11 Inches of snow in Central Oklahoma
8-10 Inches in DFW
2-5 inches in Austin

Blowing and drifting snow in Arctic conditions. Can you really measure that? Who's to say one of us won't stick a ruler into a pile for 24".

FW has forwarned clearing of the roads during climax event likely won't be of much help.

Back in time clip not us here but perhaps one of our mets will do it.

In line with RAP,RGEM,CMC. This is getting worrisome. It is 34F now too. :cold: :cold: :cold:

Yea I'm also closely monitoring the temp. 37 currently here at the Rain Cave, that's down a couple of degrees from around 5 pm. Continuing to get mist and light rain, maybe even some tiny little flakes of something frozen here and there.

I am a weather hobbyist living 3.5 miles south of Downtown Austin and in no way or fashion should anything I say concerning forecasts be taken seriously. Please check your local NWS for accurate weather forecasting and conditions.

Jeez I might end up losing power soon...

...not from ice but from lightning! Just had a nearby CG shake the house! Reminds me of a summer thunderstorm!

Don't hear that every day in the middle of Winter, especially if it is below freezing!

Well, it's still 40F in Longview. The Ouachita mountains are doing a good job of blocking the coldest air from reaching much of NE TX and models show it staying that way until we eventually drop below freezing Friday night.

But yeah, thunderstorm on a cold February night is not typical!

For those in DFW, should start seeing radar returns showing up southwest of the metroplex soon...

Same in Dallas. Ground is starting to get wet, but seems to be starting to stick to cars that have been sitting out for a while

All efforts to pack up & hunker down should start to be completed very soon, be very careful on the roadways, Icy roads & bridges are very likely right now in Oklahoma & Texas, there are only 3 days left before the 1st storm arrives, & 5 days until the Big One . . .

Freezing drizzle here as well, it is coating the cars in the driveway with a thin layer of ice. Heavier stuff come in overnight and tomorrow.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.
