Just north of you in Highland Village/Lewisville. Yea we are staying just slightly above freezing. We’re probably a couple more hours from hitting freezing.

But like already mentioned, long term we will be fine. If anything, we’re just missing out on freezing rain atm. :P

Okay. Thank you so much. I’ve been sitting here forever thinking the cold was moving in quicker then it stalled and I panicked. I appreciate the reply and the ease of mind. Nobody wants freezing rain. Ha! Thanks again! ☺️

I’ve noticed the 2 winters I’ve lived here that it always seems slightly warmer in this pocket. It could be being just south of the lake, but that’s always just been a hunch.

By tomorrow morning we’ll be well on our way to freezing. Just seems to happen when temps hover right at freezing.

I’m in the county showing 12.5- south Grayson county. That would be amazing if it verified!

Pretty cool to see where precipitation types switch on the correlation coefficient mode on radar from Gainesville to the west-southwest. That line also shows up as a thin line of higher returns on reflectivity mode.

Wish it was easier to post screenshots here.

I just measured 3 inches of snow, but the drifting is making it more difficult to get a proper measurement

For those guest or forum members south of San Antonio in the Corpus Christi NWS region a Winter Storm Watch was just issued for the counties around Victoria and a Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect for the counties near Eagle Pass (NWS Austin/San Antonio region).

Here in Denison, some freezing rain earlier this evening, left a light glaze in the trees.

It's 28 now and there has been a mix of sleet and snow for a while now and the ground and streets are pretty white now.

Still at that 32F/33F level in Longview and have been for several hours. Not much happening here but precip building in from the southwest should get here in a few hours. Think it's time for bed. Should be a fun day tomorrow.
