Uh, we've had a megadrought in Texas since 2000.

hahahah, our government's models can't even get an accurate depiction of our weather 5 days from now....what makes you think this study has any credibility ?

Well the temperature is dropping. Biking was done to yeck this morning. Run of 7 miles will be glorious today. Will this be the last gasp of Winter? Or will this be a harbinger of cold for March ?

EWX says my temp should be 40 today, instead both my temp and dewpoint are dropping, temp is 36 and dewpoint is 32.

Bob Rose this morning thinks the front next weekend will have some staying power. Temps and precip can be worked out later. And that is good news TeamPlayersBlue.

I just do not know what to say. I will believe it when I see it. The models have been so off, so often for us in Texas..

I wish I could believe it... I hope it does something... anything.... besides this crap... but I'm also gonna have to believe it when I see it. Burned by so many false alarms this year.

"The models", or "a model"?

TheProfessor wrote:Yeah that 6z GFS wants Icemaggedon 2 to occur, if there was a winter storm I didn't want, it would be that one. A few things that intrigue me about this one is that, were are already within 7 days, This isn't the first time it's shown up, I don't know if you guys remember but I mentioned seeing this while we were focusing on this past fail of event, and one thing I have noticed is that lately each winter storm has dropped further and further south. First the one in Minnesota, then the one in Southern Illinois and Northern Missouri, the latest one being in Southern Missouri, Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. So perhaps we're next? if not us then Louisiana? Nonetheless I still won't trust the models for what will happen this weekend until Friday, but hopefully we will get to see some exciting runs that will get this place rejuvenated.

Well, the weather in extreme north Arkansas didn't pan out like they forecast. All the way up to the 10 p.m. news last night they were forecasting 7 to 10 inches for my area. All we got was 2 inches if that.
