the Euro has some snow overspreading at the very end of the run further out than the FV GFS

One thing I have noticed with the long range snow maps that nail DFW is the large snow hole near Kansas, Nebraska, and eastern Colorado. It would be nice if that could fill in at some point. Anyway, the snow will probably disappear in today's runs.

I’ve been complaining about this all winter. Where is the snow in that region? They seriously can’t buy a storm there this winter! We need a solid snowpack to our north.

My parents in KS have had close to average snowfall for the first time in many years, but western KS has struggled at times this winter. Much of it was early winter as well, no snowpack now.

No problem, I was just stating a fact. Didn't intend to have it sound sarcastic. It's hard to tell one's tone from a typed message. It's hard for the D-FW area to get snow without the passage of an upper-level low overhead. Typically, all the moisture is going to be farther south, closer to the coast. The models have been doing a terrible job at predicting snow in Texas this winter. FV3 goes with a foot or two while the GFS has warm temps at the same time (only a slight exaggeration). I don't know about this "new and improved" GFS. It's not looking too good with winter weather, and I hear it is worse than the GFS for tropical cyclones from 5 days out.

18z FV3, looks like most of the "snow" south of a line from Alexandria, LA over to Waco is probably not real, North LA looks like mostly freezing rain, then North of I20 heading West into Texas would be a mix bag of sleet/snow.
