I noticed it early. Compact. Heading northeast on east side and south west on the west side. Impressive. I was more tongue in cheek but hopeful.

Nice little heavy band.

The evening snow is sticking to everything better, including fences. Guessing another 20 minutes left here.

Finally, back to sleet here after hours of 32F "freezing" rain...

Past 30 mins noticed what Hockey was talking about. It's blowing a little bit from the north to south.

Congrats on who all got snow and sleet. I hope to get 7in here like there saying but we shall see. Takes alot of factors to come together for a winter storm, especially a big system. Hopefully we have a better opportunity later in january or February

The warm nose and a slight increase in temps completely prevented any winter precip down here. Oh well.

Looking forward to beating our 4 year “snowless” streak down here in February!

Snow in Texas, 8th wonder of the World

Don't use my posts as forecast; I'm not a licensed meteorologist! I just endorse cold weather, alright?

All observations I note are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

What is this? It's getting crazier! The snow has rapidly increased over me again in the past few minutes. Like, what is happening?! I never saw this coming! :cold: :froze:

The northern trends are good for OK. Now Brent has seen snow three times. Next storm Chase for Brent will be in Grand Prairie. I'll buy him a 12 pack of Shiner. Now who wants to talk about the 20th???

I don't want a winter that fizzles in mid January. 57s walls are made of bamboo. We need the 20th to happen and two more in Feb/March. Red wine taking over.......

From what I’m hearing the cold may head towards the west come February.

Yeah I've seen some talk about that. More west central than what we've seen. Good for south Texans as well. Would like to see the folks down there get some winter action.

I think with a -pna, we should see a front that stalls due to se ridge and a big overrunning event at some point somewhere. Just speculation lol

Maybe some flurries in the morning if the Amarillo/Lubbock band keeps together?

There are disturbances ahead of the panhandle ULL, you can see them on radar as light returns. Several of them will pass through the next few hours but it will be light.

Does the latest Euro depict a similar set up?
