0z CMC is back with pretty potent snowstorm across southern 1/2 to 1/3 of state beginning next Tuesday; however, not much in the way of other model support.

Other models have hinted at snow storms in the deep south at times, though. Just a day or so ago the GFS had a huge swath of 1-3 snow across much of SETX and all through south Louisiana. It has since taken it away but it is showing me that there is the potential for somebody to get something next week.

Local met mentioned that it will be colder but drier. Light snow falling here in Vermilion Parish, LA now.

Looks like we're starting to get a sleet/snow mix here in Anderson Mill. Very, very small flurries, but it's falling at a different speed than the surrounding sleet.

Looking at the radar, is what we see more than likely what we'll get, or is it going to continue to back build in the Hill Country? I don't exactly know what to look for on other weather maps to be able to make that determination.

Cheers,
Cameron

I lifted this surface drawing from Reed Timmer's page but I'm posting it to show that while the Heat Miser may be out of town, the Heat Island is working hard! :x

Getting moderate sleet mixed with snow here in College Station! I hope it transitions to all snow before it ends here in a few hours!

Longhorn, that is the back edge just to the west. No more backbuilding.

Can anyone confirm if it's snowing in Galveston? the ASOS at the airport has been reporting it consistently for hours now but I don't see much evidence on the webcams

I highly doubt it is. Several ASOS stations have been reporting snow today when it's been highly unlikely it was actually snow there.

That is just reporting what the METAR is at Scholes Field.
