Passing downtown New Orleans now on our way to the airport. Had ice on our windshield and temp of 30F across southern Mississippi. Up to 35F in New Orleans with light rain. No more ice.

Guys, where are the pics? Get to uploading and posting! I'll have some more coming out from various locations in TX/LA as my friends share them with me on facebook. I got one from Austin I'll post soon, just waiting for my friend to clarify which area of Austin the pic is from.

Have nothing to share unless you like seeing pictures of cloudy, cold, freezing rain. Been doing this since early this morning. So jealous of the people in central LA that got all that snow. Don't even think they were forecast to get anything but some flurries. :grr:

I woke up this morning, did a nice little stretch and looked outside. I daw tons of white grass in my yard, however, it wasn't from snow or sleet or ice; no it was from the lack of precipitation we have received since icemaggedon. Oh how I hope we get either rain, ice, snow, hail, anything will help at this point.

I'm still trying to find some photos from Sam Rayburn > Toledo Bend > Natchitoches. I think they made the most of this event.

TX Dot and the CCPD have close some of the flyovers, the Harbor Bridge and interchanges here in the Corpus area.

Holding at 30 degree right now. :cold:

Keep the pictures coming guys. Good luck ravyrn finding one of that area, I bet someone there at Toledo Bend lake got 4-5". Jasper probably did well too.

Meanwhile my skin is ready to shrivel and die. Dewpoints are so low, I don't remember the early month dews feeling so bad like now.

Those photos look like they were taken in the PWC HQ neighborhood which is also located in SW Austin about 5 minutes from Barton Creek Mall. Hmm ... but my exterior pretty much mirrors the photos here.

Oh, and I saw some chatter a page or two back about srainhoutx's comments on next week. There is, in fact, an upper level disturbance clearly defined in the 6z GFS which rolls through the South next week. The CMC shows it also and has moisture with it. Even yesterday's 12z Euro showed it. The 6z GFS looked drier but does have the upper level energy.

I've already talked to several private sector mets who forecast down here and who are watching it closely.

Across from the "Arena". I'm guessing the main arena at Toledo Bend.

I can't get over those two photos above around Toledo Bend. Those pics look like they're from Minnesota, not ETX/WLA. I'm still working on snagging some pics from the Jasper/Sam Rayburn areas as well as Natchitoches.
