It really is. Looking at the map it's such a stark contrast.

And who's against natural gas?
I think he is just saying that if we were relying solely on wind or solar, we would be screwed. A few days ago, when conditions were good, the wind held the higher ranking. Wind turbines do not work in these conditions. The only ones generating right now are where the temperatures are not approaching freezing or the winds are not too strong.

I'm still having sleet right now, this warm nose is really irritating
At this rate, it would bust the 12 inch snowfall forecast on the models

Snow is definitely picking up here
Now can it last for more than a few minutes

I'm not even worried about records at this point. They are not happening. Can we please just cover the footprints I see

Yes, that’s probably the same cell that hit my house, I think I’m not far from you but on the east side of 35w, Sleet was pretty intense for a while there.

Heavy sleet here as well. Such a wild experience! Never thought I’d experience sleet in 17F.
Guess we’re learning to never underestimate a strong warm nose.

I actually think the changeover will occur in this batch for DFW.

Pretty big cell just southwest of Brownwood looks to be heading towards my neck of the woods hope I at least get to experience thunder sleet.

Trying to figure out the warm air issue for OKC, could it be because it's so far removed from the upper low? Sometimes you need to be closer to the low to change to snow. Just strange.
