Not real impressed looking at radar and latest models. Could still see minimal warning criteria in NE TX, but more than .25 inches of frozen QPF is looking less likely. Though if convection makes it this far east then all bets are off.

My rain gauge still had .25" of rainfall in it from last weekend's system so I got a bit over an inch and a half of rain today, minus however much it expanded when it froze. It's all frozen now :cold:

Good morning weather fans. The radar is not what I expected but still plenty of time for it to fill in. Looks like a bit of sleet is about to move in though. Need some coffee now.

Edit: Looks like it is filling in a bit as I type.

Good morning. I'm new but been a long lurker on the forums. Finally started out as sleet here in Arlington but transitioned to rain for the past 10 minutes.

Cold misty rain (aka dead snowflakes) falling and freezing to everything. Wind is really picking up and howling just south of DFW Intl

As y'all are reporting, things are really starting to pop out west and into the Metroplex. Temps are nearing freezing now around here.

Already several accidents in the area. Interstate 20 westbound is shut down at Houston School Road.

Freezing rain falling here in South Garland.

Accumulating quickly here in Allen, pretty good sleet, yard is turning white, and the wet sidewalk is now the slippery sidewalk

Unless the radar starts filling in out west, this is going to be a short-lived event.

LCH extends Freezing Rain Advisories one tier of Counties/Parishes S to include the I-10 Corridor. Beaumont/Port Arthur is not included, but Orange/Bridge City are including Lake Charles.
