I don't like these SE trends on the models. Give me a north shift and 2" of rain please!

If that continues to trend SE, you may either get completely dry slotted or you may get a very fierce snowstorm.

Ending up on the dry cold side is definitely the worst case scenario for me.

Also note that strong winds are expected as well (Up to 30 knots, which is translated to Around 35 mph), it's either Near-Blizzard Conditions, or a dry, nasty cold, windy day. (And yes, there is a thing called "Windburn")

The FWD NWS doesn't rule it out, but they're not very concerned with it. This is the only mention in the AFD:
Though it will indeed be cold and
windy on Saturday, it still appears that it will be too warm for
any wintry precipitation, though a wet snow flake or two can`t be
completely ruled out before precipitation comes to an end late
Saturday.

I don't see much snow either, but maybe a dusting at best if your lucky?

It's either going to be a Blizzard or Severe Storms.
KFOR said that the Euro model has a Blizzard for most of Oklahoma, while the 'American Model' (I assume the GFS?) only wants storms & no snow.

The 0z Euro didn’t have any measurable snow for your area. It’s mostly confined to western Oklahoma.

Maybe seeing the full 240 hours of the 6z on Pivotal Weather Plus? I hope that the Euro does not trend the Blizzard towards here.

Re: Texas Winter 2021-2022
I'll post my detailed thoughts later today, in short though, if the trend continues for the 0z CMC and Euro (assuming no further shifts south) I think the severe potential with this system could be very real, but I haven't gotten into the meats of this storm quite yet. 500 pattern looks impressive on those models though.

Why wouldn’t you want a blizzard?

I'd rather have Severe Storms over a Blizzard because I can't be on the porch even with a heavy coat for a while. And Measurements are going to be very difficult.

Hm...I was supposed to drive down to DFW for a concert next Wednesday--maybe I should hold off?

Re: Texas Winter 2021-2022
I'm heading home next weekend so I would prefer it not to be a snowstorm so I don't have to drive in anything. So I wouldn't mind a solid storm next week. No tornado outbreaks though of course.
