That would be nice! Unfortunately it doesn't look like it will drop enough for us... :(

Anyone else see the low/spin/shortwave fixin' to cross the border out of Mexico? (Water Vapor Imagery) There is a spin if you see the lift in clouds just across from Val Verde County? Perhaps this is what the HRRF was seeing kickin' out something overnight for Austin? Thoughts?

Well today's UKMET is leading the snow train this week across North Texas....drops 5-8 inches on Wednesday then another 3-5 inches on Friday!! Bringing snow totals for this weeks systems to almost a Foot across some areas. Euro ENS looks very similar! For those that are fortunate enough to be in the lucky areas, enjoy this pattern it's rare to see this many snow threats so close in succession

The way I have been reading and watching how the Tuesday/Wednesday type systems behave, those totals might be true for some lucky dog. Wednesday morning could be a beautiful sight with huge wet flakes. Could be another early morning.

I can't believe this turn of events if we get three winter storms inside 5 days!

It's an automated observaion - not reliable. Just saw the 00z College Station balloon data. There's quite a warm layer aloft - up to 50F at 5000 ft up. Not a snow profile up there - sleet and freezing rain. Likely warmer aloft over Huntsville.

I got this info from Tim Heller from abc13 on his twitter account. Some pictures have also been posted.

There were numerous observation stations reporting snow in DFW this morning... besides a couple stray flakes it was all sleet or freezing rain

Although maybe it's possible lol

:uarrow: I actually got snow at my house, the flakes were small, but definitely different than the sleet that was falling.

February likes doing that. 1978 I think had a stretch and Superbowl week 2011 had 3 significant storms in 7 days. In the plains it's feast or famine, really cold or really hot. Lucky or can't buy a drop.

Not sure if I buying the high totals, but it's definitely an interesting way to end the winter. Even a few inches would make me happy.

I saw the video he posted. That's not snow, it's just drizzle being blown around in front of the car's headlights. The vertical temperature profile isn't even close to one that could produce snow.

33f at my place in Spring Branch with a light mist falling. Looks like tiny snow, but I'm sure it is just mist. Nothing is sticking or frozen. Will be interesting to see what it is like in the morning.

I didn't see the video but looking at the sounding from KCLL snow is almost literally impossible. I was surprised HGX mentioned that..
