Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

The immediate Gulf Coast looks good on this set of runs. Need that precip to come a little more north though. Looks like the main player to help that happen is the cutoff low over the Pacific. It was very close to being caught that time on the GFS.

Most of us did not, only the far northers. and northern 1/4 of DFW, maybe northern 1/5 :(

So, I'm leaving Austin Saturday for 5 days of camping in the Big Bend area. (I'm gonna leave my water off!) What I've been gathering so far is that out there the forecasts have been consistently dry over that period, looks like lows maybe 20-25 at worst now. More concerned with wind, but it seems that's mostly Saturday night Sunday morning after FROPA.

Would love the maps if you are quoting what the maps show. Helps me. I am in SE TX N of 10 about 15mins from Beaumont close to LA. Would love a visual. I am old people. LOL.

Same here. I work for Fannin county and we still have snow on the rock roads. Crazy.
