Fox 4 in Dallas just said heavy snow would be moving into metroplex sooner than previously expected, now between 2-6 p.m.

Just a quick post before attempting to go back to sleep.
I got white stuff!
About a quarter-inch sleet/snow on ground and street. That’s more than 6 years. We moved into this house in 2015, and it’s never seen snow. Freaking feels good. F$Ck yes, didn’t get zip this time.

Getting ready for work, took the pup out. Cold. Nothing falling out of the sky but looks kinda misty. That’s my scientific observation of current conditions. Our outdoor gauge doesn’t work when it gets near freezing, officially it’s 28.

Snow is slowly tapering off, but wave 2 is coming . . .

OKC is about to achieve Blizzard Conditions if the observations keep going like this
1/2 mile Visibility
21 MPH winds from the North
Snow

Re: Texas Winter 2020-2021
Has the whole state of TX ever been under some kind of a winter storm warning before? This is insane!

Re: Texas Winter 2020-2021
Looking at overnight short range guidance, see no reason to change previous forecast...this looks like a solid 4-8 inch snowfall event for majority of North Texas. A lot trickier to pin point for our friends to the south and East, that is an insane mixed bag

Also, the ENTIRE states of Oklahoma & Arkansas are under a Winter Storm Warning, this might be "Storm of the Century"!

Radar shows heavy snow in Las Colinas but we have heavy sleet instead. Must be a little warm layer up there still.

I once had radar that showed rain, but it was snowing!

For the history books for sure, especially when considering how large Texas is.
