Crazy how the Euro is the only model not showing Houston falling into the single digits Tuesday morning.
I guess even more crazy is the ICON and UKMENT showing a low near zero.

Everything is coated in a thin layer of sleet. Not slick at all to walk on thankfully.

Latest NAM 3k picking up on additional lift that stays with the Upper Trough as it passes overhead...didn’t have it in earlier runs. FW NWS probably needs to go back to its original 4-8” forecast

Well, couldn’t go back to sleep. Snowing lightly again for a bit after a break. Looks between a quarter and half inch on fence. Not going out to measure until an inch. Lol

Seeing news posts back home in Kansas, and it’s snowing still up there. This is such a widespread snow. Just incredible.

If I can keep my pipes from busting, I will be happy. I’m already satisfied and my kids are happy. Beautiful day!

SW Oklahoma having wind gusts up to 30 mph & there is snow there

Calling for at least a 50% chance for Blizzard Warnings in Northern Texas, SW Oklahoma & in Central Oklahoma

ERCOT app forecasting exceeding demand mid-afternoon. But, I question its accuracy as it constantly changes and magically gets enough capacity as it gets closer the past few days.

It's possible that one develops and moves across North Texas into Oklahoma before this storm ends. Then on to the next storm.

Yes Sir, hasn't stopped here since it started early this morning. Just a steady pace although the flakes are small.

00Z models below. None is showing significant freezing rain here in Harris County (Houston). It's north and south of us? GFS has 6-7" snow, Euro has 1-2". Model consensus is that Houston will reach 5-8F on Tuesday. All-time record is 5F. What I don't buy is the warm-up to above freezing the next day (Wednesday). With all that ice on the ground, I think the temperature won't climb above freezing. If that's the case, the stage is set for a significant ice storm across SE TX on Wednesday. Generator is ready to go. Lots of gas. Shutting off water this evening.

Stream out of the airport. Shaking and can't see visibility is low.

Just getting coffee and lighting the fireplace, but there is at least 1" of fine snow on everything.

Happy Snow Day :froze:
