Has precip throughout TX. But DFW-ACT (waco) is the only regions I could find along with NE Texas and W Texas that is cold enough for wintry stuff. It doesn't go out beyond 7 days, so idk what it's doing elsewhere after.

It also reportedly has Houston at freezing temps on Thursday with about 4 inches of frozen precip (based on 10:1 ratio)

It has freezing rain with 850c temps warm (between the frame before that and that frame it's above freezing). 32 at the ground. CLL is going through some kind of transition, don't know how much or when. I didn't look at it closer earlier. But too far out to know for sure or even start at that

Def something to keep a close eye on, especially after tomorrow and friday's system passes.
Meanwhile, it appears that moisture continues to deepen streaming NE towards Texas from Central Mexico as the upper low continues to dig...

Looks as if moisture is trying to make a return according to latest radar trends.
Anyone agree?

Alrightee ... local NWS says 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches of snow falls on the Portastorm Weather Center tonight. Let's see if that verifies.

You too my friend, or you may slip and fall!
I will take and post photos tomorrow morning ... if there is enough weather to merit such a thing.

I thought they were saying 1-3. I'm hoping for 5.

Officially it is 1-3 but if you read the forecast discussion, they got a little more specific. I'm with you on the "5"! I'm hoping what we get will be enough to shut down work and school for the day. I would absolutely love a 3-day weekend courtesy of a Austin, Texas snowfall ... but in the words of WWE superstar Alberto Del Rio, "you already knew that."

Good morning! I'm new here but a long time lurker. I currently live in Garland but I grew up in Sherman. My dad was a sherriff's deputy in the day before all the fancy radars, so he would have to go out storm chasing and I spent many days/nights out with him watching storms and tornados. So now I'm a weather junkie. Just wanted to introduce myself and say this winter weather is definitely NOT my fav!
