Let me provide some perspective. This city has been shut down by 0.07" of freezing drizzle. The most conservative model output I have seen for us for tomorrow shows three times that much precip as a mixed bag. So, it won't take much. And that's the whole point about the Winter Storm Warning being issued and "significant" travel impacts.
Thanks for the insight and I agree with you. Just seemed that they were downplaying any totals. To me, the totals for ice, sleet, or snow seem to be pretty up in the air at this point.
