Low chance...probably mostly freezing rain and sleet, with a bit of snow before ending tomorrow morning.
That snow band approaching Austin and SA looks awesome on radar! I hope our friends over there are ready!

I only went outside to de-ice the water & measure the snow
Hey, if it was me, I'd be playing in that snow till I froze over.

Still no idea how much snow fell at DFW airport
. What's the point of having obs for those measurements if you're not going to fill them in? It's like they haven't used it in 6 years or something and forgot how to
. Maybe give them the benefit of the doubt due to blowing snow but still.
Now on to the intrigue, again on radar there is a streamer coming from the area around Lake Lewisville that's oriented differently than rest of the bunch.

I only say this because a streamer basically sat over DFW airport all morning long and probably contributed to the total, if it was legit.

Just went to let the dogs out in PN and noticed some light flurries mixed in with the rain.

Wow! Would you look at the radar, huge blob of snow heading up out of Mexico. As others have said, it's gonna be a very interesting overnight.

Do y’all think it will extend far enough north to hit DFW?

Make sure to shut off water if you live near or south of Houston to prevent busted water pipes. I am going off Wxman57's advice here. Stay careful folks.

Some nice dumps of powder, I'll be interested to see if the second round is in fact more substantial. Have over 2" and near back edge of shield though it seems to be back building some.

Had some fun driving around in the snow in North Ft Worth. Glad I fixed the heater earlier this week.

Also, I’ve never seen a Walmart need skid steers to clear out snow in a parking lot in North Texas. They had piles like this all over.

Horrible forecasting.

Hopefully we can get a piece of that coming from the south
