Also, I’ve never seen a Walmart need skid steers to clear out snow in a parking lot in North Texas. They had piles like this all over.

Welcome!1st post awesome pictures 8-) .

Great first post! took me weeks to get that right. I think it's a lot more simple now days. We didn't have the helpful buttons above the type box back in 2003.

Doubling down on what I said earlier. At least 4 inches in the northern half of SA.

After round 2, we have about 2.5" of snow here in East Dallas. I did say someone would get shafted by the banding with just 2"... It was me

I still couldn't be happier. This snow is so fluffy and beautiful. The grass is covered, it's easy to sweep off of my driveway and front steps, the dog is in heaven and so am I. :cheesy:

Hopefully we can catch something from the overnight round coming up from the south!

I am not a meteorologist, and any posts made by me are not official forecasts or to be interpreted as being intelligent. These posts are just my opinions and are probably silly opinions.

Dallas probably about done. Maybe another inch if clipped by another band. Whitest I have seen it. Usually there is some melting. Not today! :-)

Radar looking real snowy to my southwest, can't wait to see it... Only problem is that it's 12 degrees outside. No thank you. I'd rather stay in my blanket than get hypothermia in 10 seconds. :spam:

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

I'm down to 26 degrees with a sloppy mess. Mostly sleet mixed with snow flurries, but I just had another round of freezing rain on top of the sleet. I wish we would change to all snow (it would be glorious) but we have a warm nose that just won't go away.

It's dumping freezing rain, sleet, and snow here all at once. At 26 degrees, at nighttime, that's a recipe for an ice machine on the trees and power lines. I'm starting to get concerned about power outages now. This could be a real mess in a hurry if we don't change over.

The freezing line has reached the coast - Surfside, Galveston, Bolivar are all at or below freezing now and the wind will be picking-up. Wow. Just wow.

Aside from a few holdouts (Galveston, Brownsville and South Padre at 34), the 04z RTMA analysis indicates that virtually the entire state has cooled to freezing or subfreezing. As we move deeper into the night, expect the entire state to be rather convincingly subfreezing.

Yeah that line means business. Models have forecast this band. Also forecasting things to fill for SE Tx between the band and Houston.

I hope so — we seem to be dry slotted right now.
