EWX must have noticied too. Yesterday they had sleet in my forecast for tomorrow and freezing rain on Sat. Today all I have is cold rain forecast. They moved the frozen precip line further west back toward the hill country.

Until it gives me a reason, I'm sticking with the RGEM through this pattern....has solid 2-4 inch snow amounts over the Northwestern 2/3rds of North Texas the next 48 hours. Enjoy this pattern, they don't come around that often this time of year!! Negative EPO/Neutral to slightly negative PNA is a great combo for the southern plains

Signs are pointing towards March being below normal as well...JMA and CFS are on board

Hey, I like your new avatar, Portastorm! A sign of the end of winter. It's been a very cold February across the Great Lakes & northeast U.S.. In fact, it's been the coldest month on record for a number of cities. I'm not talking just the coldest February, the coldest of any month since 1874 in some places. My 85 year-old mother was complaining of the cold this morning (she lives with us). Her broken back is taking years to heal and the cold isn't helping. That 81 degrees sure felt good last Sunday.

:uarrow: Some mind blowing numbers....thank our lucky stars that the Northeast has an abundant supply of Natural Gas (thanks to hydraulic fracturing) at this time or our energy prices would be through the roof right now!!!

Wonder if any of that will hold together for another 150 miles?
My morning drive in was pretty treacherous between residual moisture from the snow and freezing fog. My low was 25 and I really should have brushed the snow off my car yesterday instead of letting it freeze onto my windshield because a tiny crack in it has become a very large one, ugh.

Man that radar looks yummy. Too bad the dry air will gobble up a lot that is falling. Still think we will see some decent snow showers.

Snowing for about an hour here- Weatherford/Azle line. Pretty moderate snowfall now, and of course it's blowing all around.

@NWSFortWorth: Spotter in Mineral Wells reports 1" of snow on grass; roads ok. Some folks may see up to 1" as this snow moves into I-35 corridor. #txwx

I think I'll see more snow today, with there only being a 20% chance in the forecast, than i did yesterday with 100% chance.
