The gulf low is strengthening out there. Increasing the gradient and bringing some girth to the moisture. Check out those cells headed towards Galveston.
Im kind of being dry slotted at the moment. Im in between bands currently, since the band heading into GLS is so strong. Sinking air on the west side of it

Holy crap, it's sleeting buckets now. Sleet is pouring off my roof like rain. There are spots with 6" or more easy where it's piling up. Just had lightning too. I've never in my life seen this much sleet.

The next heavy band is hitting now. 4" on the ground, expecting additional 6-8". Temp is 11. Thankfully my house is very sheltered from wind but wind chills around me are -5 to -10.

Yes, they're doing the rolling blackouts. Currently without power in Burleson.
