That actually was there earlier... its just they've been raising the amounts all day. The graphic when I woke up had like 1-2" up there and a dusting here

Hello there!
Maybe I'll find more disappointment w/in the next 24 hours - and need a counseling session or two with Portastorm to help me through it - but I'm beginning to like the looks and potential of this system.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Thank you sir - and good luck to you in getting a good snow event! ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
I knew I didn't remember that graphic showing that 2-4 inch amount between Fort Worth and Wichita Falls tomorrow, not to mention the 1-2 inches from DFW up towards the Red River.
Maybe this one will pan out - if only we can get some kind of miracle for our long suffering and fearless leader Portastorm and all of his ATX peeps!

Re: Texas Winter 2014-2015
and by some miracle there's no warm nose this time!!!
Come on let's close out February with a bang
2-3 inches of fluffy snow and then a glaze of ice on top. It won't be melting fast!

Yes sir. You know, if we could in fact get some decent snow in North Texas tomorrow, this season's thread should push past the 350 mark easily.
If we can somehow get some winter precip down in Austin, it should go to 375 pages.
And who knows, if March is indeed going to be chilly as Orangeblood and Ntxw mentioned earlier today, then maybe getting over 400 pages will happen this winter.
I wouldn't have thought that was possible three or four weeks ago.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

If you had told me we'd have three winter storms at the end of February after a winter of basically nothing I would have said you're crazy lol

This storm looks better and better, even for me in western NE Texas. This looks like 1.5-3" for the Metroplex and .5-1.5" for me. Maybe it can squeeze out .5" for Austin. Add had been said I like that we are concerned just about low level moisture, there is plenty of cold saturated air above. I really hope this isn't a flurry then .1" of freezing drizzle.

Extrapolating the southern edge of the precip shield, I don't think Dallas County will get much of anything from this. I hope I'm wrong.

I am not a meteorologist, and any posts made by me are not official forecasts or to be interpreted as being intelligent. These posts are just my opinions and are probably silly opinions.
Sneaux approaching radar, we're going to lose some in order to saturate the air but once it makes it, will be a beautiful scene and with temps in the mid 20s it will stick right away. HRRR certainly fascinates.

Very dry air is flowing across NE TX now. Dewpoint of 10 in Dallas now. Snow may hang west in the Panhandle and west Texas, west of the Metroplex where the moisture is greater, at least this morning.

Dreams of snow and sleet this winter are probably done. Winds have already shifted to southeast in Del Rio, Temperature has risen a degree too.. Look at those dew points north of Dallas. Also note how quickly the shortwave is moving through.

12Z sounding for FWD, still a whole lot of dry air to overcome.

I was wondering about that. Parts of Parker county should be getting it pretty good too.
