I'm happy you've been able to finally experience an accumulating Texas snowfall. :D

I'm happy for all you north Texas folks, and happy to experience it through the pics you all post. We're only like four hours down the road from you DFW guys. Seems like we should get a flake at least.
Ah well, you north Texans enjoy for the rest of us!
:ggreen: :froze:
But be careful of course (from reports I'm seeing)!

Some photos from Cedar Hill. We are getting pounded here. It looked like Highway 67 was shut down through town. I have some video, I'll upload it a bit later.

Now appears that the returns are lightening up to the west of the Metroplex.

Next couple of hours look to be the worst, Collin County appears to be ground zero right now.

If you north Texans can spare a moment to speculate on the increasing radar returns west of San Antonio & your thoughts on central Texas possibilities.

I just saw a cyclist at buckner and 30  was that you, wxman57?

I'm at work delivering pizzas again. The roads seem mostly fine as long as you're careful... wish they'd closed schools so there wouldn't be as much traffic out here though.

The big ISDs just cancelled, so now there is increased traffic out there as people scramble to get their kids.

Yeah, that was me. I decided that the weather in Houston wasn't cold enough for a bike ride.

I made a couple of meteograms for DFW and Houston (Hobby, this time). Our (Houston) normal high for the first week of March is 70-71. Looks like temps may be a little below that toward the middle of next week. More 30s and rain here in Houston. It doesn't get any better than that... NOT!

NWS did not get the word out effectively to TXDOT or the school districts leading up to this event, somebody dropped the ball....appears the advisory criteria wasn't effective enough, warnings should've been warranted, IMO! These roads are some of the worst I've seen around here, comparable to Dec 2013.

:uarrow: Interesting. We've picked up an inch plus in Denison, but so far, the roads aren't as bad as I feared they would get.

So the snow lightened up a tad about 20 minutes ago (I was thinking it was close to the end) and then I just looked outside and now it's heavy again and larger flakes. This is crazy!

All you need to do is turn on the metroplex news coverage and you'll see what I'm talking about
