I haven't tried it with a meteogram but save it on your computer, than click post reply on the forum, after that go to where it says browse and select the meteogram. It will open up Image shack and it will take you to the link. You than copy the link to your post and post it. If you want the picture to show up on the forum, you will have to copy the forum code link, you will have to make a free account to do this, the easiest way is to login to ImageShak using Facebook.

Wow some impressive snow amounts in North Central Texas, any users from those areas that received a foot?

Horrific accident here in Grayson County tonight on southbound U.S. 75 just south of the Red River bridge. Several semis and smaller vehicles involved according to initial reports. Multiple fatalities and multiple injuries transported to trauma centers. My speculation would be that it was related to icy roads up here. Road conditions are not nearly as bad as they were in early December, but they are bad enough to close Sherman and Denison schools tomorrow. Prayers for the victims and their families.

0z GFS shows snow as far south as Waco next Saturday night as a strong upper level storm system moves across north Texas. If the track of that system shifts about 100 miles south, Porta and I can get into the fun!

It shows some light freezing rain from Austin to College Station late Thursday night.

As long as shifting it South doesn't give DFW the shaft then I'm OK with that :)

Ch. 7 in Tyler has been showing a wintry mix for the last 3 or 4 days for next Thursday/Friday. Tonight they took it off their weather page and it now shows not quite as cold those days..

That is a classic track for moderate to heavy snow in NE Texas, SW Arkansas, and NW Louisiana. Bastardi just tweeted that this storm would be the biggest of the 3.

My forecast is to be taken with grain of salt as I am not pro met.

0z GFS has a 1057mb high rolling down into Montana on Wednesday. Given the current upper pattern, this is a classic recipe for the Arctic/polar air to come straight down the lee side of the Rockies into Texas.

If the GFS is right, the predominant form of precipitation over most of the state later this week will easily be frozen. I'll be curious to see if future GFS runs show similar and how the 0z Euro holds up against it. Got a feeling the late week storm is going to put these smaller events we've had to shame.

GFS is going to have to make up its mind as it can't have both a strong upper level system and a strong coastal low develop. Usually the ULLs lose their definition and shear out over the state and that energy is what helps drive cyclogenesis in the Gulf. Gonna have to keep a close eye on how it handles the 500mb features.

Yeah Porta it looks like cold air will not be a problem. If we can just get one good storm system to move far enough south to pull enough moisture in to mix with the cold air then it's game on for possibly a large part of Texas!

This is one of the few times this winter that I've seen the ULL strengthening as it approaches and crosses the state. Most of the others have gone too far north or south, or shear out. I just did a meteo-gram for Texarkana. It has close to .50 QPF, with temperatures in the Upper to mid 20's.

It's a bowling ball type low, trapped and stuck in split flow due to blocks. It's not one to shear out because there's no fast flow. Those are the ones with blizzard warnings.

This is the first time since early December that a potential system has really caught my attention.

Yeah it looks quite powerful on the 0z GFS with ample vorticity at 500 mb. I really hope that system can give much of Texas at least a dusting of snow!
