Large flakes, too! :froze:

Looks like that's the last hurrah and lay down a quick 0.5 to inch across the metroplex

:uarrow: That's not necessarily a bad thing. We need to get the evening commute over with and get people home before the sun goes down. When it gets dark and the freezing drizzle commences, look out. Bad goes to worse in terms of driving conditions.

Well the drive home was fun. People are idiots. Just idiots. What part of tailing someone when the roads are slushed with snow and ice seems like a good idea?

Hmmm. Wonder how the evening commute is going to be? (Edit: If you ask me, that photo alone was worthy of this storm being a WS Warning in the Metroplex. But that's just me.)

35 here with a 'feels like' 25. Dew point is 25. No precipitation. My sister in Lewisville said as of a few minutes ago it was still snowing and the street in front of her house is covered.

Edited to add: now 34

Yes, yes, yes. A couple of folks have mentioned it in passing. But please! We can only handle one winter - ahem, I mean spring - storm at a time! :D

Brent, I am glad that you got to see a snow event this year in Texas!

Now we've got to get a freak March snow down to ATX for Portastorm and the gang! :froze:

March is technically mostly a winter month. DFW averages more snow days, more snow average, and the record daily snowfall in March is greater than November. There are also more freezes average wise in March than November even though the sun angle is on par with September. It is not spring until March 20th.

I guess it must be freezing rain out in the Hill Country because we just got word that my son's baseball tournament games today in Fredericksburg have been cancelled.

i don't see any freezing rain in fredricksburg atm but it is 28-29 right now. Could be just a precaution for what may/may not materialize later in the hillco

Has DFW ever experienced 5-6 consecutive days of wintry precip?

I'm still getting moderate snow here, and it looks like another heavier band has formed in western Denton County.

I didn't either per radar but the airport there (thanks downsouthman1) is reporting light drizzle and 31. And per your other note about some temps dropping in western areas of the Austin metro, I believe it. A quick scan of the LCRA hydromet page shows temps from Driftwood to Dripping Springs to Lakeway dropping several degrees in the last hour.

I was going to say... we've spent almost the entire last week under a winter storm or winter weather something... even in Alabama I cant recall a week such as this. 2 storms yes... 3 no...
