Still more ice pellets than snow but cars are coasted, grass is just starting. 1960/TC Jester area of Houston.

It's snowing pretty good here now. The natives would call it a blizzard but it's getting close to what the NWS would classify as 'moderate snow'

Sleet mixed with snow accumulating on tables and roofs here on the northwest side of Houston. Earlier than I expected accumulations to begin. Heaviest should be between 1am-7am here.

Are we ahead of schedule or is that just me imagining it?

Good dusting of snow in Cleburne on social media. Shucks….just slightly too far north.

Compared to the HRRR runs today, absolutely. And farther north. Not too surprising though based on trends this morning.

Sleeting in Beaumont, possibly a snow/sleet mix. Starting to get white on cars and surfaces. Streets are wet. Gonna be icy later, I'm afraid.
Reports of all snow just a few miles from me.
Edit 5 minutes later... Definitely snow falling now.

Nothing in Port Neches so far. We have been stuck in a dry slot so far.

My patio table has 1" of mostly snow now. A thin glaze of ice under some sleet & graupel topped with snow.

Had some sleet mixed with light snow earlier but looks like all snow transition beginning in Bexar County/SA Metro.

Re: Texas Winter 2024-2025
After catching some quick Z’s, I can finally say that snow has started in Far Northern Bexar County and is accumulating a bit. It’s not the fresh powder I loved from 2021, but beggars can’t be choosers. 25°.
I don’t remember any of the models having snow all the way out to Eagle Pass. Nevertheless, I hope that it snows here until daybreak.

Approaching 2" here. The dew point had leveled off at 27, but now it has dropped down to 26 with an air temp of 28.7 and slowly falling. A steady light-moderate snow with decent sized flakes.
