Hi Waco! I'm happy for you! My counselor just let me and the others out for a break from the GFS addiction group so I had time to post this.

BASEBALL SEASON! SPRING TRAINING! Okay I need to add weather in this comment, so it won't be pointless.

What is everyones guess at when all the snow will be melted?

Sunday (though i'm still thinking that's optimistic to melt a foot of snow and another cold front coming for Valentines day). I thought a lot of it would tomorrow, but even the NWS is now questioning their 50 high for tomorrow lol with fog. None on the grass and cars have melted yet. Looks like we get to enjoy this more than just during the event. What a winter...

Scratch that, Monday!

My Guess is Sunday or Monday. The only thing that is melting really are the trees, but that is more chunks falling off cause they're sliding off broken tree limbs, and titled trees.

Roofs are also dripping, but there is still a good block of snow on them.

It won't reach 53F tomorrow in Dallas...going low 20s tonight in the burbs...doubtful DFW breaks 45-46F tomorrow with the snow.

I'm excited for the chance to take pictures of this fog that might come tonight, and the morning. Should look pretty with all the snow.

It means expect continued chilly\cold weather up until the end of the month, with chances of wintry precip as long as the southern jet is active. Just about everyone in Texas.

I dont see how it could get much "worse" than 11.2 inches of snow for dfw. I think this was our big event and I have never been happier about a snowstorm. Ive always hoped for it, but never thought it would happen haha. If there was somehow a bigger storm that came through, I would begin to think Id moved to Canada and all my friends came with me.

That would be Accuweather's Joe Bastardi who is batting a pretty good average this winter for his calls across the globe. Years past he's blown some by big margins.

Except the Austin metro area where they will receive Rio De Janerio heat wave temps. :sun:

12.5 was the official and I think that beats Toronto for seasonal snow so far with 15.7 vs 15.5.

NOWFALL AMOUNTS FOR THURSDAY THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING ACROSS
THE REGION WERE HIGHEST ALONG AND NORTH OF THE INTERSTATE 20
CORRIDOR. IN THIS AREA...SNOWFALL REPORTS GENERALLY RANGED FROM
6 TO 14 INCHES. SOME OF THE HIGHER SNOWFALL REPORTS WERE
RECEIVED IN AND SURROUNDING THE DFW METROPLEX.

A DAILY SNOWFALL RECORD OF 11.2 INCHES ON FEBRUARY 11TH WAS
REPORTED AT THE OFFICIAL CLIMATE SITE FOR DALLAS/FORT WORTH. THIS
BROKE THE PREVIOUS RECORD BY NEARLY 10 INCHES SET IN 1988.

THIS ALSO BREAKS THE GREATEST CALENDAR DAY SNOWFALL TOTAL FOR
DALLAS/FORT WORTH WHICH WAS LAST SET IN 1964.

AND FINALLY...THE ALL TIME 24 HOUR SNOWFALL RECORD FOR DALLAS/FORT
WORTH WAS BROKEN WITH A TOTAL OF 12.5 INCHES REPORTED FROM 4 AM
THURSDAY TO 4 AM FRIDAY. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 12.1 INCHES SET
IN 1962.

PLEASE SEE THE PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT LINKED ON OUR WEBPAGE
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THESE RECORDS AND OTHER CLIMATE SNOWFALL
INFORMATION.

The joke at my buddies house while we were playing games was we would randmly just say, "ITS STILL SNOWING" It honestly seemed like it wouldnt end lol. Great times and im glad i made it safely. Becareful out there today guys. Lets bring on the next one!

Also, is there a site where we can see a "day long loop" of the storm. So we can see how it progressed and back builded etc. I missed all that fun of watching the radar yesterday. Thanks!
