I can't believe the effort it takes just to walk in the snow. I don't have snow boots, just regular boots. It takes effort to lift and walk. In Beaumont, TX!

Yeah they were talking about this yesterday, could be another cold shot even next two weeks or so.

Hopefully it can pair up with another Gulf Low or a Low Pressure bringing moisture from the Pacific.

First storm too wet, second too dry I need a storm just right.

Snow in Texas, 8th wonder of the World

Don't use my posts as forecast; I'm not a licensed meteorologist! I just endorse cold weather, alright?

All observations I note are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Snow was bad for snowballs as well, too fluffy. A day or so in the sun and then it was good and we made a couple. Make a snowman, take a picture. Best way to remember the snow event IMO.

I had a lot of snow nearly 2 weeks ago, all I did was to measure the final storm and take pictures of the surroundings, it was so pretty

Winter 2020-2021 :cold:

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

New Orleans airport is now reporting 0.06 of a mile visibility.

Even in Blizzards up north, that's extremely rare to achieve.

BAM Weather alluded to another potent system entering around February 1st as well! Fingers crossed!

Please let it be a DFW banger!

This was the perfect snow event in south/east Texas. A few inches of good snow, no ice, not extremely cold or windy, and it will be gone by tomorrow. Now bring on spring!

Maybe Spring Break in DFW will actually be warm, then. We have a bad luck streak of Spring Break being chilly and miserable, and the very next week being nice.

Final verdict... (Note that the ruler has that same half inch rounded nub at the bottom so this is very close to 12".)

Final total was close to 4 inches in SW Houston. Temperature is at 35 now, with sunshine. Slushy surface streets will turn to ice tonight with a low in the low to mid-20s. I've hired a new crew to reinforce my two walls (Canada and Red River) after the previous crew abandoned their posts when they saw this cold air coming. Can't get good masons these days.

Mine are all from Pensacola (Deep South thread). One of my kids had 6” so far in Metairie.

Steve's reply was a joke referencing a character ("Apu") from the TV show The Simpsons.
