The difference however, as did the 18z GFS, is now a S\W to N\E orient in in the 500mb energy and precip charts vs west to east (Probably not a good thing if you're far S\E Texas wanting snow) which was the case how the GFS had it when we first looked at this storm. That could play some havoc on pinpointing exactly where the heaviest stuff will fall.

I'd say 3-4 inches of snow should it verify. Shows about a half inch of QPF. Assuming a 7.5-to-1 ratio ... that would be what I would think would fall.

Trends folks... all season the 'adjustments' have been S IMHO. NAM is also abit cooler and lingering with QPF. Also notice the Upper Flow due S in the Plains. A coastal trough/low? We shall see.

Of course.

This is maddening. I give up. It's shifting south and still giving me the shaft. Figures.

:uarrow: No don't get me wrong, the run looks very good if you want snow, much better than the previous. I just noted how the energy looks. The entire complex is actually further south, if a coastal low forms all bets are off

Porta.... I think it's Austin's turn, finally!!! I am so excited. The local weathermen here are still saying light accumulation, but if that model shifts just a tad bit further south, we are talking INCHES!!!!

Easy fella ... e-a-s-y.

Yes it looks good right now but slight shifts in model guidance and suddenly, what was 1-2 inches becomes a "trace." No kidding ... I'm not going to feel confident until tomorrow night and we see the highest QPF swath across our area. As Fort Worth said in their afternoon forecast discussion today, we probably won't get a real good idea about what will happen until 6-12 hours prior to the event beginning.

OT, how about our boys winning the hockey game tonight?! That was exciting!!

Help push that snow a little further south to San Antonio for my friend as well! Keep the snow train moving.

The game was intense. First time I screamed for a hockey game.
