I am going to pick up both my kids right now. I won't wait either. My poor wife will be stuck in rush hour later.

1/10" accumulation of snow in Weatherford before 7 a.m. this morning, then no precipitation from that time until just now (11:00 a.m.).
Very light freezing rain and sleet just started here now.

Looks like the 14z HRRR is showing maybe 0.10", whereas the 13z was showing as much as 0.5". Interesting.

Things are going downhill in the Cedar Hill area. Freezing rain is still falling, and the glaze of ice is getting thicker on the car, tree limbs...etc. It looks like the street is still okay, but I am hearing the highways are getting bad again.

Getting a freezing rain/sleet mix here in FTW at the I-30 & 35 Interchange. I have a perfect view of the interchange and update as bridges start to ice over and cars start having a had time getting up them. :ggreen:

Fingers crossed, but it looks like we may miss on most of the freezing rain around here. Sleet and snow look to accumulate pretty good though especially after dark so say 7-10PM will be our main time where we could get an inch. We look to be on the western edge of the heavy stuff so it could boom or bust easily.

Temp has risen a couple of degrees at DFW. Now at 30. Hopefully will continue to rise. Sorry guys... no desire here to sit in traffic for 2 hours a la early December storm.

No snow with this system = bring on the Spring later this week. :sun:

Even though on radar there appears to be precip falling in Downtown Dallas right now, there is not. Completely dry downtown.

Finally after being bone dry all night and morning, we got a nice rain shower here. Our temp has been at 34 the last hour, so no ice.

Just looked outside my window at home in Weatherford and then walked outside to verify.....There is what seems to be some sleet mixed with freezing rain? Definitely some sleet pellets in the mix for sure.

The rain cooled us back down to freezing but so far everything outside is still all liquid.
