Well good luck to you guys back in DFW, maybe my wife can get a day off tomorrow. Maybe a little luck to Porta though it's not looking likely for snow in Austin, darn that lucy, but maybe some kind of freezing precip huh? Ya'll probably had enough of the Amarillo updates so I'm headed to bed.

Lol nothing really to say till it gets here! I'd normally be looking at HRRR and stuff, but I'm not looking at the models anymore for this storm.

What appears to be the front on the radar is a line of rain out ahead of the front. The front is about ten miles behind this line. The line has already passed here but the front has not.
Light rain and completely calm wind here. 41 degrees.

Yes forgot to add the freezing part lol. Report from my friend in Stephenville says there is a thin layer of ice covering everything right now.

The front hit just as I posted that message at 1:15.

So, yes, at least here, there was a line of moderate rain about ten miles out ahead of the front.

12:55-1:10 light/moderate rain;
Temp at 1:15 was 41 degrees and light rain;
1:20 37 degrees and light rain, wind out of northwest;
1:25 35 degrees and light rain, wind picking up;
1:30 32 degrees and light rain

I suspect that the precip immediately west of here (Palo Pinto county) is freezing rain. Although temps are dropping so quickly the band of freezing rain is probably rather narrow and behind that is likely sleet.

No changes, still the same.

HRRR is correcting itself still and now seeing a heavy batch of precip later in the run :wink:
