Here you go. Note that the Euro has the noon Sunday temperature of 75 in Dallas, dropping to 31 by 6pm. Note - high temperatures are not indicated, as they typically occur near 3pm.

If we could lower that another 5 degrees and add in some precipitation. That would be perfect.

18z GFS is back to teens for DFW . Low 20s on the euro upper teens on GFS, that's spring for you! We can't even buy that low in the heart of most winters!

While wxman57 dreams of 2012 March with endless heat, lets have some fun with the other end for DFW!

March record low: 10F 1943
Most snow: 6 in 1924
Lowest Max: 25F 1924
Coldest March: 1915 with 46.6F

Lets try to beat one of those!

Can't believe this hasn't been posted. JB just tweeted the CFSv2 5-10 day snow cover for the United States. 4 Ensemble members of the CFSv2 suite have moderate to heavy snow for Northern, Central and NE Texas.

Moderate according Texas standars, or moderate according Northern U.S standards?

He also mentioned them showing snow down to Houston although none of the images he showed had measurable snowfall in Houston. Maybe he was mentioning the Euro but I can't remember now.

This is correct. The CFSv2 four member ensembles all show snowfall for these regions. While the individual runs shouldn't be taken verbatim, the past has shown that when all 4 are in sync generally it's a sign something tends to show up or is a threat. CFSv2 is pretty adamant about very cold temperatures.

We also have a very favorable MJO card to play!

PFFT, you know me I never listen to the heat miser when he talks about warmth! Only about his frozen couches! :cheesy: Winter would've ended mid January with coldest temps early that month if he had his way!

To my very untrained eye, two of the models show 1-3 inches, and the other two show 3-6 inches.

I'm so tired of the cold. It's hard to get heavy precip when it's cold. I want warm, humid air with frequent storm chances!

I'll just leave this Maue tweet right here.

GFS 00z just pounding away with the cold. 6-day forecast shows extreme Arctic blast number infinity in wings.

This mornings update from EWX:

UPDATE... /REFRESHED MORNING TEMPERATURE TRENDS/
MORNING UPDATE WAS ISSUED TO ENSURE CURRENT TEMPERATURES DO NOT
STRAY FAR FROM HOURLY PROJECTIONS. COOLING TRENDS IN THE NORTHERN
HILL COUNTRY WOULD SUGGEST THAT LATE MORNING TEMPERATURES COULD
APPROACH 32 DEGREES WHILE PRECIPITATION CHANCES REMAIN HIGH.
HOWEVER...EVEN IF THE MERCURY BRIEFLY DIPS TO 32...RAIN CHANCES
WILL BEGIN TO DECREASE FOR THE NORTHERN REACHES OF OUR FORECAST
AREA AFTER 15Z. THE DAYTIME TEMPERATURE FORECAST WAS NUDGED DOWN
SLIGHTLY...BUT WILL KEEP ALL AREAS AT OR ABOVE 33 DEGREES. A
FREEZE IS STILL EXPECTED FOR MANY LOCATIONS TONIGHT.

SO FAR THE RADAR TRENDS REFLECT THE MODERATE RAIN AREAS FALLING
MAINLY IN THE MORNING HOURS WITH GRADUAL DECREASING TRENDS
EXPECTED IN THE AFTERNOON. AS THE MORE CONVECTIVE PORTION OF THE
MORNING RAIN AREA APPROACHES THE AUSTIN AREA...SOME RAIN/SLEET MIX
REPORTS ARE STILL EXPECTED FOR THE LATE MORNING HOURS...WITH NO
IMPACTS EXPECTED ON ROADWAYS FOR NOW.

30 degrees with wind chills in the lower 20s here in Richardson. I just had to bring in my geraniums. Hope they didn't get freeze damage.
