Southwest Houston reporting in: 32 in our backyard with thunder and lightning. a few drops of rain/drizzle/whatever. :cold:

35 and moderate rain here in SW Austin.

It's actually colder over in H-town and they're starting to get in on the "fun" right now.

I'm a few miles ENE of you and just heard thunder (about 2 miles SW of the SW corner of 610). No rain yet. Temperature 35.6.

I hope you get 4.5" of rain into mid 20 degree air temperatures like we had in Texarkana during Christmas day of 2000. The bad part was the rain fell steadily over a 24 hour period. The next morning it looked like a cat 4 hurricane had gone through the city. It was the first time I had ever gone through a natural disaster and hopefully the last.

Here too and I just heard faint thunder. It's right at or just below 32.

The latest HRRR is much wetter for the Austin and Cen-Tex areas.

I cataloged the Snowmiser's hijinx in Off Topic. Let me know if there are any inaccuracies in details regarding the bet in that thread and I will correct it.

In reference to that HRRR run, it is much wetter than the 18Z GFS or 0Z NAM for Austin.
