Fort Collins only managed a wind-blown 1" from this one. YTD = 48."

Complex forecast here with most areas looking at 1-2" but with the band that most models have setting up somewhere will see 5-6". Most likely looking from Denver NW/N at this point. I'll be curious to see how it pans out. Up until yesterday, models had a scant 1" or less due to shallow upslope and quick change to downsloping winds. Layer is saturating already this morning as my view of the flatirons is already gone. Little faster than expected.

Unbelievable dry and warm March. Worried about fire way too early in the season.

Well it appears your fire concern was warranted. Very early in the season for fires to be affecting homes at 8000'.

March was insanely dry and is typically our snowiest month. What looked like a monster snow season has tapered off, but this system coming up could be interesting. We'll have to see if it gets cold enough for anything significant.
