...SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL POSSIBLE TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY...

.A strong low pressure system will track up the Northeast coast
on Tuesday and will spread heavy snow into Maine and New
Hampshire Tuesday into Wednesday. Confidence is increasing that
this storm will track somewhere between the 40N/70W benchmark and

for widespread double digit snowfall continues...and for that
reason winter storm watches remain in effect until there is a
high confidence in forecast snow totals. Near the coast northeast
winds will be gusty...and near-blizzard conditions are possible
for a time Tuesday evening.

Looks like an extremely intense low south of New York City with enough pressure gradient to produce blizzard conditions at least short term. The storms that went into the history books for precipitation totals stalled for at least a day though.

Certainly a lot of media hype before this one regardless.
