Up to 69% today. With very little substantial cold in the forecast (other than today or tomorrow) it will be difficult to get much more ice

Superior is around 80%, so maybe that one can freeze over if nothing else does. I don't see it for Michigan; too big and too much open water with warmer forecast for the southern portions.

If anyone didn't already know, there's no chance of breaking the record and very unlikely that we'll even surpass the peak of this year. We're going full torch mode and next possible cooldown is in March, when the lakes really begin to melt with the higher sun angle.
Was much more impressive than the last two winters, however.
