If we can get a phase then we can really take it to town.

Did someone say phase? Talk dirty some more.

Gossh, I heart February so hard.

FWD taking notice:

Cold air will
also spill southward behind a cold front and there is the
potential for some wintry precipitation on the back side of this
system. Right now there is decent model agreement in this scenario
for the Wed/Thu timeframe, but we`ll continue to assess over the
coming days.

The second system the GFS was showing in fantasyland is gone on the 18z GFS. No surprise there.

Yeah, lots of details though. Trough maxima favorability is still good, so shortwaves can dig and intensify. Interesting start to February.

We really went from disaster look to roaring start potential so quickly, in the best period.

Daytime and no cold air advection. Winds are coming from the e/ese/south where you are. Dewpoints are low though so it will once precipitation makes it to the ground, wet bulb.

I don't even have one.

Either way, a OUN Sounding at 0z (6 PM) is showing a slight Warm nose, that may be causing the Sleet instead of the snow outside.
