Was noticing QPF really dropping off north of DFW on some of the most recent model runs

Yep, yesterday was looking like a doomsday scenario. Now not even close. Go figure.

Just went outside and there’s something falling now. It’s light but something and radar now showing something over us.

Yeah radar is showing all over the place but barely if anything is falling. Will this continue?

As for how things look, it looks concerning today. I hope we don’t get a dumping of freezing rain.

But, I don’t want to drive in what’s left tomorrow so I hope it’s bad enough they don’t have school.

I’m hoping for sleet but not likely.

Glad I have this fire dragon maple. It is one of the best trees for ice storms.

So wait, not that I'm complaining but is the consensus that north of DFW is done with precip now?

I wish but not looking likely this time around…the training of cells setting up along I-20 looks to be relentless later today

I hope I did myself, NWS had me under a .25 of Ice

No, not at all. Just latest trends are showing a little more drier air working it’s way in north of DFW. But still enough to cause some major issues

Comal County got hit hard with heavy fzg rain last night but the roads seem to be mostly OK. Made it into the office driving slowly. Some traffic lights out, trees down.

We were very lucky it wasn't 28-30 deg here vs. 30-32 deg last night. The rain brought down some warm air to keep the roads from totally becoming an ice rink.

Are we pretty much done down here or any shot at something w/ ULL passage later tonight?

Good Morning! First post here. Originally from Dallas, live in Edmond, OK now. I'm another amateur that enjoys the commentary and weather talk. One thing I have learned...never trust the GFS temp outlook when Arctic air is heading our way! :D
