There are already major arteries where 18 wheelers are stuck backing traffic for miles. Conditions are only getting worse. I-20 to the west is a mess and it's people passing the state from other regions who are not aware.

Now that we've been in the 20s for so long, the roads are turning white faster than the grass.

Completely white here now in a very short period of time.

Looks like it’s training right over DFW. Any chance this system will slide north at some point during the day, or are Red River counties out of it today?

Daily snowfall record for DFW for 1/31 is 1.2" in 1985 (start of a 2 day storm which began with sleet IIRC). Maybe DFW cashes in today and we make a run at it?

As for us here south central Louisiana, it feels winter like, 45 degrees and misty gray. We will stay in the mid 40s for 3 days. I feel like this is our winter send off. I’m not complaining, because I don’t want what a lot of you are getting now. Stay safe up there.
