Interesting. Here on the other side of the lake, it's not much of anything. Now up to 33 degrees.

This is interesting. Mesonet shows most of Rockwall county 28-30F except a few readings near the eastern lake shore. Wonder if the water (NW winds) is blowing in some milder marine air there?

True story, it was organized chaos picking up my son at 1:30 in Keller isd. Freezing rain was literally occurring at my sons bus stop and the bus couldn’t get out to get them this morning because of de icing issues….probably a good clue to cancel school right off the bat…

I can see the very light snow flurries mixing in moving through the airport (came from mid cities others have noted) It isn't much on radar but intriguing, orangeblood did show yesterday while shallow it is a fairly substantial cold layer near and just above the surface up to 925-950mb.

Sure enough light snow flurries in the air. Crazy.

It's probably something like that; location dependent. Wherever my Apple Watch/iPhone is pulling the temp, it's showing 33. But there's a couple PWSs in my neighborhood that show 28. And we're not in a valley or low spot.

Anyway there's rain now and it's freezing on elevated expose surfaces.

Every wx station across DFW is reporting 29 or lower, the further N and W the average high is mid 20's or lower.

I've had a few flizzards come through, and unless we get some pretty heavy precip that comes as FRZ rain, I think we are looking at sleet mixing in with snow for a lot of places.

Where? I have no clue how to read all those models, I'm just here for the info. It's helpful if there is more detailed info.

Most of Northern and Central Texas, also along I-30 (Except in Texarkana).

A persistent, steady band of qpf will develop tomorrow from southwest to northeast cutting through the state. It will be a fairly narrow band stretching a few counties wide. Think of like a training rain event. Where ever this sets up will pile on a lot of sleet and ice.

Tomorrow morning will have more convective storms in a wide swath.
