27.4 now. The coldest it’s been all day. Almost 3 degrees colder than projected.

Sleet shower just moved through to break up the heavy freezing mist, grass is turning white from the glaze building up.

Yes grass is white and crunchy here at Denton/Grayson county line. Seems there is a really fine mist falling.

For some reason your post and graphics don't always show, what do you have.

Missed this update a couple hours ago. Goes along with some HiRes saying bulk of QPF is SE of DFW tomorrow. Seems like only the NAM is currently bullish. Hope we can pull some good sleet totals regardless of where max sets up and it stays below freezing long enough to get a big finale.

New Short Term, Aviation...

.SHORT TERM... /NEW/
Update:
A relative minimum in wintry precipitation is forecast through
most of this evening and overnight before renewed freezing
rain/drizzle and perhaps additional convective sleet begin
developing early tomorrow morning. The main corridor of heaviest
ice/sleet accumulations may be displaced further SE than most of
today`s activity with the greatest amounts perhaps remaining near
or south of I-20 through tomorrow afternoon. However, all areas
are still expected to experience travel impacts, even where only
light drizzle occurs, since temperatures of surface roads will
likely fall to near or below freezing for most of the area by
tomorrow morning. Any uncleared roads with residual moisture/slush
will be capable of refreezing overnight, which would make tomorrow
morning`s commute treacherous even in the absence of new precip
accumulation. Most or perhaps all of the CWA is expected to
remain below freezing through the entire day tomorrow which will
limit improvement of any already impacted roads.

Jist lots of posts and trying to gather what's going on.

I think tomorrow could be lighter for us up here. Mainly in the morning. But with Wednesday trending colder now, Wednesday could be interesting up here.

Hey neighbor, always fun times out here in Ponder.

I'm just wanting a short work week. Already off tomorrow and thinking Wednesday is a toss up ATM.

Could be overreacting too early, but San Antonio geography strikes again. Too far south.

Been hovering at 32, VERY light glazing on metallic handrails. I know we weren’t expected to get anything more than cold rain, but it has been one boring winter down here. Also, what’s with the forecasts showing a slight warmup overnight?

Well Delkus is all in for Tuesday and really amps us Wednesday now.

Funny. Just a few days ago nothing to see here.

26.8 here. Precip still en route from the southwest, but southeast of here looks to be lighting up a little more than out to the west.

Steve McCauley was even rather bullish on his FB update earlier this evening. Basically calling for .25" of ice area-wide with up to 1" of total ice (incl sleet) by Wednesday. Guess his stat model is on board with this.

Was just about to post this. Not a ton of model support for high QPF tomorrow but it’s juicy for sure with heavy drizzle and 25 at a time that is supposed to be quiet so any little trigger may unload a heavy burst of sleet in morning. Glad to see these guys on board (assuming sleet that is, not ice)

We’ll see in the morning how the models and precip looks. .10> of ice can still wreck havoc on power lines and travel
