First Snowfall in Northern Wis!

#1 Postby pojo » Thu Oct 02, 2003 2:01 pm

Reported by Green Bay NWS. Three to six inches of snow fell across Vilas county during the early morning of October 1, 2003. An early season blast of Arctic air kicked off the snow season in earnest across the snow belt of north-central Wisconsin.

Boulder Junction had 6" of snow yesterday!

What a beautiful shot of the snow on the trees and the sun shining. That looks like some heavy and WET snow too!

That was in Northern Wis....Vilas County. We saw a trace here in Green Bay. I noticed the snow flakes when I was walking out to my car after classes!

Seeing a few snow flakes this early in the season is very cool! 8-) First snow flakes in my area will not be for at least another month and a half, but I can't wait.

Beautiful pictures Shannon!!! Thanks for sharing!!! STAY WARM!!!!

BTW, I have spoken to several other weather friends in the last 24 hours who had snow flurries yesterday in both OH. and PA.

Great pic's Shannon :)

I wish I could experience snow like that just once in my life... I dont think I could live in it though!! Too cold for my blood ;)

Is this way early for this amount of snow, or is this the norm?
