been sleeting and snowing here in Austin since 7:30 a.m. this morning. Temps now dropping below freezing.

Right now in downtown it is 32 degrees so nothing is sticking to the roads or bridges. But just outside city limits and into the Hill Country, its below freezing and creating problems.
We have transitioned into a rain/sleet mix as of 10:30 a.m.
Winter Storm Watch posted for tonight.
If we do get measurable snow here, it would be the first time in 7 years I think.

the NWS Fort Worth now thinks the storm track with be a little further north now.
SNOW AND SLEET ARE EXPECTED ACROSS NORTH TEXAS SATURDAY WITH 1 TO 3
INCHES OF ACCUMULATION EXPECTED ACROSS THE WATCH AREA BY SATURDAY
MIDNIGHT...AND UP BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES NORTH OF THE WATCH AREA.
THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL END FROM THE WEST SATURDAY EVENING.
ICY ROADS AND BRIDGES WILL MAKE TRAVEL ACROSS NORTH TEXAS HAZARDOUS
SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY MIDDAY.
