Rain has already come down and is expected to become worse overnight as the tw fronts merge and move south! Roofs have already begun to collpase in Ft lauderdale, and people are losing power again! The Miramar POlice Station roof is collapsing! This is not a good situatioN!

Yeah ... this is not good. I'm afraid there's likely to be water flowing down through my walls tonight.

Our office was among the first place in Collier Co. to get power restored. We actually were working first thing Tuesday morning-the only Bank/Trust Company in Naples that was open for business.

Today, we had one power surge after another, knocking out the computers and phones each time. It was impossible to get anything accomplished. Mine were the only two computers to stay up as I my outlets automatically switch to backup power. The others were not so fortunate. We finally shut everything down before we blew all the electronics. Just love more challenges at work!!! We also had two small surges at home very early this morning but apparently no more for the remainder of the day

I'm just stating facts and not complaining, as I realize how many are much worse off than we are. This is just a comment on the instability of the electricity in the area. At least we have power (most of the time). I feel so sorry for those who are being told it will be mid to late Nov. before all is restored. Even worse are those from Katrina and Rita who are still living in the dark ages. The only redeeming fact is that the worst of the summer heat is gone (hopefully until next year.)
